He wrote a book titled "50 Jobs in 50 States" chronicling his journey to work 50 different jobs in 50 different states in 50 weeks.

Seddiqui's journey began when he had a tough time getting a job after obtaining a degree in economics at the University of Southern California.

His employment background includes stints as a meteorologist in Ohio, lobsterman in Maine, park ranger in Wyoming and rodeo announcer in South Dakota.

Seddiqui founded the Living the Map to promote cultural awareness of the different parts of the country through employment. It encourages people to better themselves by exploring, experiencing and respecting the world around them.

The Mayor?s Lecture Series takes place Monday, Aug. 26, at 11 a.m. in the Losantiville Dining Room at the Cincinnati Museum Center at Union Terminal.

The event has limited seating. To attend, individuals must RSVP by Sunday night.
