Schools and Bus Stops

The access to schools is also an extremely significant matter to consider, because education is the most important element of childhood that you can invest in for your children. You will need to look for areas where access to both primary and tertiary education is possible and manageable. This may seem like a long way into the future, but if the tertiary education isn?t up to scratch, then this could force you to move.

Looking somewhat further into the future, bus access to the area is a very important element to think about. Whilst you may be content to drive around, when you have three children who all need you to manage their social calendar, having a bus stop within walking distance will be a great benefit.

Cost Management

When there are only two adults in the family, it can seem very difficult to justify the significant cost of buying a house with three or more bedrooms. Owning this kind of home and not using the space can certainly seem foolish, but you can actually use this early stage to make significant progress in paying it off.

With spare rooms, it is possible to divide the home somewhat and create a space that can be rented out initially, before you have a family to take care of and fill the space. This can make it far easier to pay off your mortgage, and make some real headway towards owning the property outright.

Commuting

Living in an area with access to schools can mean that commuting will be a necessary part of your life in order to get to work. Also, residing in a place with both schools and solid employment is difficult to manage, but this is an important consideration to make. You will need to look at the potential for progression into different jobs, and consider commuting to and from work sensibly, to avoid unnecessary stresses.
