Two similar wedding gift box thefts this month prompt investigation. Both incidents include the theft of gift boxes containing cash and gift cards meant for newlyweds.

The second happened two weeks later at Majestic Oaks Golf Club 13 miles away in Ham Lake.
In both cases the gift boxes were swiped after 8 p.m.

Victims in both incidents also tell 5 EYEWITNESS News the cards were used at Target stores north of the metro.
?
Police hope to determine in the next several days whether the thefts are connected.
