Website Strategic Plan ? Part 2 ? Search Engines

Search Engine Optimization Strategy

We believe that every business should have a Search Engine strategy. At a minimum, your customers or potential customers should be able to type the name of your company into a search engine (like Google) and find you on the first page. Try it right now! If it didn?t work, I would make Search Engine Optimization part of your website plan for 2013.

Can you commit to these website projects?

The content requirements for an SEO strategy are greater then ever.? As our clients are coming to us to discuss strategy for 2013,? we are preparing them for the commitment this will require in the new year.? Can your company commit resources to the following website/online projects?

  • Quality Content ? Producing new stuff and remember,? it doesn?t have to be just webpages.? Videos, infographics, slideshows and e-books are other examples of content you can optimize.
  • Up-to-Date Pages ? regular review of all webpages for up-to-date keyword information and content.
  • Keyword Focused ? Focusing all updates and new content around strategically selected keywords
  • Quality Links ? Get everyone involved to help find linking partnerships that will not only bring traffic to the site, but make good business sense.
  • Good Analytics ? Regular review of website stats and follow through on action plan as a result of that review.
  • Socially Connected ? Can?t ignore social media anymore, consider for part of your plan at least to help with SEO.
  • Blogging Strategy ? Blogs can help fill the quality content, up-to-date pages and social connection needs.? Regular blog posts may just be the competitive edge you need to improve search traffic.
  • Google+ ? Google has incorporated its social network in search results in many ways, participation is required.
  • Adwords PPC ? We are hearing perform of Adwords is up.? Adwords can assist with the improved analytics requirement too.
